Sometimes blogging is a lonely past time, especially since so many of you began subscribing to my blog via e-mail. That means you don't have to navigate to the website to read it and are less inclined to leave comments. All in all, it can sometimes make me wonder if anybody out there is really reading what I write. (If you feel like it, I'd love to have you comment now and then, just so we can connect).
Last month, I had a powerful reminder that you're not only reading, but using the tools I'm giving you. I was tagged in a Facebook post by Tanya Hommes regarding a 24 bookings in 24 hours challenge she had given herself and the amazing results she had experienced. My ears perked up because last year, I wrote a popular post called "24 Bookings in 24 Hours." (You can read it here).
I immediately contacted Tanya and asked if she would be willing to let me interview her about her success. I've posted the link so you can listen to our interview below. The most funny part about this is that Tanya didn't realize that the original idea for the challenge had come via my blog because her upline Jackie Ulmer had shared the challenge with her after reading about it here. I love how social networking works!
Take a listen to Tanya's impressive results (10 bookings for January and 4 for February as of a week ago). During the interview, she shares not only how she did it, but how she overcame her fears of picking up the phone and the actual script she used during the calls. (And to think she started her business not even liking the idea of doing parties at all)! Thanks for sharing, Tanya! You ROCK!

You are a great inspiration, Tanya, and an example of what’s possible with deliberate action and commitment to your business. Congratulations on your well deserved success!
Hi Julie Anne, thanks so much for allowing me to share my booking challenge with everyone. I have learned so much from you and your team and my parties from this challenge have been a success! I have been able to book at least one from each party and a couple of them I have added 2 parties. I am creating unstoppable momentum in my business. Thank you and good luck to everyone who takes on a challenge to create momentum!
Yay you, Ginny! You go girl!
WOW! I love this challenge too! I too hate to pick up the phone and can think of all kinds of excuses to postpone doing so. I am going to challenge myself and share my challenge, your blog and the inspirational interview (if she can do it I can do it) with my downline and just see the results we get. Thank you so much for this great idea! We are deep in the heart of the midwest where we have been very cold and snowed in for much of the last 30 days. This challenge will get me out of my winter hibernation mode and back to business.
Great follow through, Cindi! Thanks for taking the challenge and for offering it to your team. Let me know how it goes!
After our leaders call today with you I was inspired to find this blog you referred to. 24 in 24 WOW what a challenge not only for me personally because I hate the phone, but for me to put out to my team. I never feel I can ask them to do anything that I won't do–so I will be emailing a link to the blog as I really want them to hear the recording and absorb the energy from the call. Then i want them to read the challenge. On our team call monday I am going to see who wants to accept challenging themselves. It will be interesting to see WHO wants to participate and HOW many they book and hold.
Good luck with your launch, Amanda! Glad you’re getting so much value out of the blog and website.
Hi, Julie! I,too, know what it's like to blog and not get very many comments. I have found that there are a lot of lurkers in blogland, so it's worth the time to blog because someone is reading it! I haven't finished my blog for my business, but I have had one for my hobby for about 3 years, so I understand.
I love this idea of this challenge. I just started a direct sales business and like Tonya, I didn't think this was "me", and to be honest, it isn't. However, I feel a lot more confident since I found your website and have been listening to the audios that you share with us. I am also starting to realize this is more "me" than I ever knew about myself.
I am hosting my Launch Party this weekend. Between my daughter and I we have invited over 100 people! Although it isn't Valentine's yet, it is a Valentine themed launch party. It does help to have a theme!
My party is Open House, so I will be sharing my story and my business with many people in that 2 hours. I have door prizes and little gifts for everyone who is attending. Hopefully I will show them how great my product is, and how simple it is to have a party. I will also have gift bags with a gift inside if they decide to host a party. I saw your idea about the "Booking Party Tree", so I am going to make that today and have it set up with the gift's all around.
I haven't recruited any members for my downline, yet, but I will most deffinitely share your site with them, as well as my sponsor so that she can share it with the rest of the team.
I will let you know how my Launch Party went. I'm excited!
Thank you for everything you're doing!
I love this idea! Thanks for sharing, Marilyn.
Hi Julie, Loved the audio on 24 Bookings in 24 Hours. Our team of lia sophia adivisors did this last fall when you posted this in October. We were going to do this with just our team of 9, but our division manager wanted to participate in this also. So, we did a 24 Bookings in 24 hours with over 20 people participating. It was so cool! There were many people that work during the day so we basically made phone calls in the evenigs. We came up with42 bookings in 24 hours. Our team has a yahoo group, so every time someone booked a party, they sent it to me. I in turn, sent it out to the group, so everyone knew was our count was. It was exciting, challenging, and oh so rewarding! It was pretty awesome! Our manager bought us pizza at the next meeting that we had….it was pretty cool! Thanks so much for the idea!

Hi Julie,
I love your blog posts! I do prefer to read them via email, I wanted to let you know I am reading what you write. You always do a fantastic job. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with all of us!

Great to hear you’re inspired, Beth! I’d love to know your results from this challenge.
I really enjoy your posts. I always walk away with great information.
I am inspired to try to 24 Challenge. I have been thinking about it for a month or so, while listening to your interview with Tanya I started making my list and I am going to do it. When I accomplish this it will be HUGE for me because of my phone phobia. It has really been holding me back.
Thank you for all your advice and for the Chaos to Clarity call, I am excited to listen to the rest of it and implement what I have learned.
Thank you,
Beth
Thanks, Cristina! So humbled that my website and information has made a difference in your life and business. Thanks for taking the time to post a comment!
Great idea Lorie! I would also love to be able to download the audio content to listen later (as in duringmy morning commute to work) on my iPod! I can't miss Julie Anne!
I know what it feels like to blog to a universe you think isn't listening and also the high associated when you find out that they do!
I don't remember how I found your site, but am very glad I did and think my business and personal life in general have reaped the benefit.
Keep up the fantastic work…at the very least Lori, Tanya and Jackie do!
Very excited to listen to the Chaos to Clarity call. I am behind, but have it downloaded and ready for me this weekend!
Warmly,
Cristina
Thanks, Lorie. I’ll do that in the future.
I absolutely love this idea and I will be trying this myself very soon. One favor? I'd love it if you would please let us know how long the audio posts are so that I can plan when it is best to listen. Thanks so much!
